Richard is based in the Cathedral Eye Clinic and is funded by DEL and Cathedral Eye Research Foundation. His research involves the assessment of multifocal intraocular lenses with the main focus on how multifocal intraocular lenses affect quality of vision and if there are particular ocular factors that significantly influence quality of vision and postoperative visual function. This is carried out through a short form Quality of vision questionnaire and extensive objective visual tests and the study aims to provide clinicians with vital information to achieve maximal postoperative visual outcomes using multifocal intraocular lenses.
