An observation made by Professor Johnny Moore has led to a research project funded by Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke (NICHS). Professor Johnny Moore considers “the eye as a window to the circulatory system” and states that an eye exam may predict if someone is at the risk of having a heart problem. Professor Tara Moore from Ulster University is leading the research project and aims to develop a simple new test to enable opticians to predict the risk of a heart problem. The project has been awarded £51, 247.
